Elena Mendizabal: Ley propia | Sala Menchu Gal, Irun

In this exhibition, Elena Mendizabal expands her artistic practice, moving from sculpture as an object towards works composed of multiple elements that create scenes and narrative situations, inviting visitors to look and listen.

The exhibition brings together two works adapted to the spaces of Sala Menchu Gal. Sur le sol comme le débris combines sculptural portals, an iron wall and three-dimensional figures that explore memory, imagination and transformation. Ley propia. Diálogo a cuatro voces comprises a sound piece in the form of an imaginary dialogue between Louise Bourgeois, Lygia Clark, Barbara Hepworth and Leonora Carrington, alongside a modular installation made from fruit crates, designed for visitors to sit, lie down and listen.
