Exhibition text
Reclining Lamppost is a permanent public installation that transforms an everyday object into an unexpected public encounter: a streetlamp appears to have collapsed into the asphalt, its pole becoming a speed bump across the parking lot. By merging functionality with disruption, the work invites a second look at the familiar, turning urban infrastructure into a playful, sculptural intervention. A subtle shift in perspective can change how we experience the spaces we move through every day.
Reclining Lamppost is located at the entrance to the sports field (konstgräsplan) of Väröbackaskolan, in Varberg, Sweden.
